The ES-Insight Message Summary screen
gives email administrators a quick and detailed look at their SMTP
log file information.
THE LEFT-HAND PANE
The left, message summary pane
displays all log files opened with the "File->Open"
menu item. These nodes are further identified as "From
Internet" or "To Internet".
Also if a filter is applied to the selected
logs, another node is be displayed with the filtering results.
Select a left pane node to display a
summary, in the right-hand pane, of messages in the log
file or filter node.

THE RIGHT-HAND PANE
The right ES-Insight pane represents a summary
of all messages in the selected logs, grouped
logically (inbound, outbound) and color coded to represent their
status.
Black |
Normal message with no errors. |

Red |
Message that encountered errors, e.g.
interrupted or out-of-sequence SMTP command.

Blue |
Messages not able to
be properly identified because more than one thread
was simultaneously receiving or sending messages from/to the same mail server.

COLOR: BLACK
STATUS: No errors
Double clicking any Black colored
message displays its the raw, log file details.
With no errors,
the "Anomalies" window is empty.
LOGICAL GROUPINGS
All log file
entries associated with a single messages are collected by
ES-Insight and displayed in the Message Detail window.

COLOR: RED
STATUS: Message has errors
Double clicking any RED colored
message displays its the raw, log file details.
Since errors were
detected, the "Anomalies" window displays diagnostic information.
NB: Any
messages filtered by CMS
XE-Filter
(originating from a banned country) will appear with
sc-status code 550.

COLOR: BLUE
STATUS: Message
not properly identified due to multiple receive threads
Double clicking any BLUE colored
message displays its the raw, log file details.
Since the
message was not properly identified by ES-insight, the "Anomalies" window displays diagnostic information.
