CMS develops the first US Postal Service PC product for the creation and
delivery of Electronic to Paper Mail messaging, known as ECOM.
1986
CMS becomes the "Father of LAN E-mail Gateways" when it developed
the CMSLink technology and licensed it to 3COM for incorporation into
3+Reach Mail to MCI Mail Gateway, creating the first ever electronic
mail gateway.
1988
CMS is a founding board
member of the "Novell MHS
Alliance"
1989-1992
CMS subsequently develops the first e-mail gateways for Lotus Notes, Novell
MHS, and Banyan VINES.
Eventually CMS takes over
development and support for
"Microsoft Mail to MCI"
gateway.
1989
CMS' Novell MHS gateway is used by other software developers as the MHS email
gateway reference standard.
1991
CMS is the first to demonstrate a working concept of the Universal Inbox –
technology that is being widely adopted throughout the computer industry.

CMS is awarded the "WIN 100"
award for its innovative and
powerful product "MailPlus"
1995
CMS is the first vendor to have a Windows NT SendMail replacement
built into their electronic mail gateway, S-Bridge.
1997
CMS ViNo Migration Software is released. The first utility designed to
migrate Banyan VINES users, mail and lists into Lotus Notes.
