FALSE POSITIVE RATE AS PERCENT OF TOTAL EMAIL RECEIVED |
Praetor
maintained very low false positive numbers over the
test period by consistently averaging a FPR rate of less than 0.01%.
A
false positive rate of 0 was achieved on over 85% of the days
in the testing period.
The frequency of these days increased as the Bayesian Filter
was
trained with additional spam and non-spam
(ham) messages received over the testing period.

SPAM and NON-SPAM EMAIL AS PERCENT OF TOTAL EMAIL RECEIVED
|
As with any email system
today, the testing period saw a flood of spam directed
at employees of CMS.
In
general 85% to 95% of all email received by CMS during
the testing period was designated as spam by Praetor. |
Praetor
quarantines any email it detects as spam, holding it off
of the mail
server. This action frees server resources and
bandwidth. |
