ES-Insight offers
two methods of finding specific messages based upon user-entered
information: FIND and FILTER. These mainly differ in how
information is presented to the viewer.

The FIND method offers the operator BASIC and ADVANCED
search options.
When the search is complete, log
items matching the entered criteria are highlighted
within a list containing all messages in the log file. |

Filter |
ES-Insight PRO |
The FILTER method creates a subset of an SMTP log file
based upon entered criteria. Items not matching
the filtering selections are hidden from view.
Every
filter operation, places new "node"
in the left-hand pane. Click this to display
messages containing only the "filtered" information.
Similar to the FIND method this also offers BASIC and
ADVANCED search options. |
