... Shortly after that we received notice that G2 was available as of October '04 and
its promise seemed exciting. We were ready to jump in but our computer service
bureau felt it best to spend some months testing it at their location and learning
about its features and effectiveness (of course, they were right to do so).
It was subsequently installed at our location on 1/5/05 (new server too) by our
computer service bureau who also oriented us to its use.
Naturally, like anything, especially something so cutting edge, it took a while for
the wheels to hit the ground (we knew there would be some bumps), but G2 is now fully
operational here. We have learned how to manage the software and Train it (much,
much easier). We spent extensive time in this Train As Bad/Good phase and soon
realized it was time well-spent as the amount of Spam coming in kept reducing
and reducing. We saw G2 getting much smarter.
Over the last two weeks G2 has stopped everything in its path (I mean 100%) and
also been about 99.9% correct on good items to let through.
In short, G2 is a revelation, we've been open-mouthed at its performance.
