Since its release in 1999, Praetor has implemented a rule-based
infrastructure. Using the Praetor Rule Wizard, an administrator can
easily create custom conditional or global rules that go beyond combating spam problems.
CREATING CONDITIONAL RULES
With the creation of content filtering rules administrators can:
Archive email for problem employees
Monitor email for violent or destructive discussions
Protect against leaks of trade secrets or proprietary information
Stop pornographic or otherwise objectionable email
How easy is it to create custom rules? The Praetor Rule Wizard
is similar to the one found in Microsoft Outlook, and allows
the selection of:
DIRECTION |
CONDITIONS |
ACTIONS |
EXCEPTIONS |

CREATING GLOBAL RULES
Praetor also has the ability to create "Global" Rules that are
triggered solely based on the direction of the message. These are
used to:
Add different disclaimers based upon the message direction
Archive all inbound or outbound messages
Archive rejected messages
