Alert: All IP Addresses Blacklisted
Sample BL-Monitor Report

|
In recent years some
DNSBL server operators have taken the extreme action of blacklisting
all IP addresses on the Internet. This catastrophic situation will cause email
filters to reject all messages.
BL-Monitor
checks for this situation after completing an IP query test session.
If one or more DNSBL servers have blacklisted all IP
addresses while others do not, BL-Monitor displays an alert box. As the sample
shows, the server(s) doing the
all-IP blacklisting are listed.
This alert is completely dependent upon:
 |
The quantity of IP addresses in your query session |
 |
The source of the IP addresses |
For example, if
very few IP addresses are used by the BL-Monitor scan, the alert may not accurately indicate
an all-IP blacklisting condition.
Also if the IP
address source is an excerpt from the DNSBL server's blacklisted IP database,
then all IPs being queried are blacklisted.
BL-Monitor PRO automatically sends an email
message to the designated administrator, allowing for unattended operation. |
